Information We Collect

iSunning collects information you provide directly to us when using the app:

• Health data from Apple HealthKit (UV exposure, vitamin D, HRV, sleep, steps, VO2 max) — stored on your device only
• Skin type and tanning goal preferences you set during onboarding
• Photos submitted for AI Skin Scan analysis — transmitted securely and not stored on our servers
• AI Coach conversation history — stored encrypted in Cloudflare KV with a 90-day retention period
• Device identifier (IDFV) for rate limiting and session management

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide personalized sun safety recommendations based on your skin type and health data
• Power AI Sun Coach, AI Skin Scan, and AI Body Age features
• Calculate your safe tanning window and vitamin D estimates
• Improve our services and user experience through anonymized analytics (Mixpanel)
• Prevent abuse and enforce daily usage limits

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

We may share anonymized, aggregate data with business partners for analytics purposes. Your health data never leaves your device — it is processed locally and used only to generate AI recommendations within the app.

AI Coach conversations are processed through Cloudflare Workers and Anthropic's Claude API. Images submitted for Skin Scan are transmitted to our secure server for analysis and immediately discarded — they are never stored.

Your Rights & Controls

• Revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → Health
• Delete your AI Coach memory from Settings → AI Coach → Clear Memory
• Uninstall the app to stop all data collection immediately
• Contact us to request deletion of any server-side data associated with your device

Data Security

We take data security seriously. All data transmitted between iSunning and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. AI Coach conversations are stored in Cloudflare KV with encryption at rest.

Health data from Apple HealthKit is processed on-device and never transmitted to our servers. We use Apple's privacy-preserving HealthKit APIs as designed.

Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary:

• AI Coach conversation memory: 90 days from last interaction, then automatically deleted
• Skin Scan images: not retained — discarded immediately after analysis
• Usage analytics: retained in aggregated, anonymized form for up to 12 months
• Device identifier: retained while the app is installed

Children's Privacy

iSunning is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. By continuing to use iSunning after changes are made, you agree to the revised Privacy Policy.
